Poco fa abbiamo pubblicato un video gameplay dedicato a Steamburg, presot disponibile sui Nintendo Switch europei.
Il titolo puzzle/adventure realizzato da Monster Couch, sarà pubblicato il 22 novembre 2018 sull’eShop di Nintendo Switch, al prezzo di €4,99.

Steamburg è un pluripremiato gioco d’avventura con enigmi, elementi di esplorazione narrativa e un’esperienza di gioco unica. Il gioco è sviluppato da Telehorse, una società specializzata in giochi Steampunk. Ha ricevuto il Best Upcoming Game all’IMGA di San Francisco a marzo 2017.
Il personaggio principale, il professor Vincent Cornelius Moore, combatte i robot che hanno invaso la città di Steamburg. L’esperienza di gioco è unica: Vincent non ha armi e deve scegliere bene le sue mosse. Può solo lanciare piccole elettrobombe che attirano i robot e li rallentano per breve tempo. Vincent deve attraversare le strade in modo tale che il robot che lo insegue colpisca una bobina di Testa e sia distrutto. Sembra molto facile nei primi livelli. In seguito devi combattere numerosi robot contemporaneamente, i robot diventano sempre più veloci, alcuni possono volare e altri reagiscono a ogni movimento di Vincent.
Gli elementi narrativi sono molto importanti. Nel 2016 Steamburg ha vinto il premio per Best Storytelling alla White Nights, a Helsinki. I dialoghi svelano che Vincent è uno scienziato responsabile del collaudo di una nuova arma a Steamburg. Allo stesso tempo sta cercando la sua fidanzata che si dice fosse a Steamburg quando i robot hanno attaccato. Alcuni elementi narrativi sono collegati direttamente all’esperienza di gioco. I giocatori possono trovare molte lettere e fotografie che rivelano la storia d’amore tra Vincent e la sua fidanzata.

Steamburg is an award-winning puzzle adventure game with story exploration elements and unique gameplay. The game is made by Telehorse, a steampunk games company. It was awarded the Best Upcoming Game at IMGA in San Francisco in March 2017.
The main character, professor Vincent Cornelius Moore, fights robots that invaded the city of Steamburg. The gameplay is unique – Vincent is unarmed, so he must choose his moves wisely. He can only throw small electro-bombs which lure the robots and halt their progress for a while. Vincent has to walk through the streets in such a way that the robot chasing him hits upon a Tesla coil and is destroyed. It seems quite easy in the first levels. Then you have to fight several robots at the same time, the robots become faster and faster, some of them can fly and other respond to Vincent’s every move.
Narrative elements are of great importance. In 2016 Steamburg won an award for Best Storytelling at White Nights in Helsinki. Dialogues reveal Vincent to be a scientist responsible for testing a new weapon in Steamburg. At the same time he is searching for his fiancée who was reported to be in Steamburg when the robots attacked. Some narrative elements are connected directly with the gameplay. Players can also find many letters and photos and discover the love story of Vincent and his fiancée.
